Planning a visit to Kuwait? This is what you need to know how you can travel to Kuwait seamlessly.  

Following the efforts of KHOA to enable local hotels to issue entry visas to guests staying at their facilities, eligible visitors can easily book for their stay and request the hotel to issue their entry visa. 

Of course, there are many visitors that are entitles to visa on arrival or visa-free entry. GCC nationals have the right to enter Kuwait without visa. Citizens of several countries, including Canada, Australia, United States and the European Union are eligible to apply for a visa on arrival or an only visa (eVisa) valid for 90 days.  

Visitors with an Israeli stamp on their passport may be refused visa. Visitors entering with a business or tourist visas are not allowed to work.

    Kuwait Tourism Visa

    This visa is issued to individuals who wish to visit the State of Kuwait for the purpose of tourism and entertainment. The tourist visa allows its holder to visit tourist attractions and explore the country for a specified period.

    • Passport validity: No less than 6 months
    • Entry permit validity: 30 days from the date of issuance
    • Stay duration: No more than 90 days from the date of entry
    • Number of entries: Single entry
    • The visa holder is prohibited from working and must leave the country upon the expiration of the visit period

    Countries with Visa on Arrival or e-Visa Options for Kuwait:

    • European Union: All EU citizens are eligible. 
    • Other Countries: Andorra, Australia, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Canada, Georgia, Hong Kong, Iceland, Japan, Laos, Liechtenstein, Malaysia, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, San Marino, Serbia, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States, and Vatican City. 
    • GCC Residents: Residents of GCC countries (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates) may be eligible for an e-Visa or visa on arrival based on their profession.

    Visit Visa for Business

    This visa is issued to individuals visiting the country for business purposes such as attending meetings, conferences, or establishing partnerships with local companies. A local company is required to apply for a business visit with proof of the business purpose of the visit

    • Passport validity: No less than 6 months
    • Entry permit validity: 30 days from the date of issuance
    • Stay duration: 30 days from the date of entry
    • Number of entries: Single entry
    • The visa holder is prohibited from working and must leave the country upon the expiration of the visit period.

    This visa is granted to individuals who wish to visit their families residing in the State of Kuwait. This visa usually requires a family member residing in the host country to submit a request to visit their family members.
